In Depth Comparison of iPhone 6 With HTC M8: Features, Camera, Specification, Software

September 29, 2014 By Karen Jackson Leave a Comment

Nowadays, it is very difficult for buyers to decide which smartphone they should purchase. Obviously, no one can make the decision on your behalf, but we can compare iPhone 6 Plus and HTC One M8 for your convenience.

HTC launched HTC One M8 at the beginning of this year, whereas Apple unveiled iPhone 6 Plus in the month of September. Many people might prefer iPhone 6 since it is recently released.  However, it is really foolish to choose the device on the basis of their release date. Buyer should closely look at all the features and spec of this both the devices ahead of the purchase.

Size:

Some People really get irritated when their phone cannot fit in their pockets and they have to keep it all the time in hands. Therefore, size is one of the most key features of any device.

Apple launched iPhone 6 Plus with a screen of 5.5 inches. Though the size is relatively bigger than all the previous iPhones, but still it cannot beat HTC One M8. Moreover, the round edges of the iPhone 6 Plus  plays a vital role in the thinness of the device. iPhone 6 Plus is of almost 0.27 inches thin that is a pretty remarkable thing. This size makes the device more attractive and stylish.

On the other hand, the HTC One M8 is larger if we compare it to the iPhone 6 Plus. However, the device appears pretty slim, but it is almost 35 percent thicker than the iPhone 6 Plus. The device is 0.37 inches thick and gives a really rock like feeling when you hold it in your hand.

Design:

As far as design is concerned, everyone has its own choice.  However, you would not notice much difference in the design of the two devices. Both iPhone 6 Plus and HTC One M8 offers a metal casing along with rounded edges.

The iPhone 6 Plus has an aluminum casing whereas the HTC One M8 has a pure metal case. iPhone 6 Plus certainly gives a delicate and slippery feeling when you hold it.

Both iPhone 6 Plus and HTC One M8 comes with a 1080 HD display, which is almost similar to the HDTV of your living room.

iPhone 6 Plus Vs HTC One M8 features:

Apple has powered iPhone 6 Plus with an A8 processor, which comes along with an M8 motion co processor. Usually, Co-processor helps a lot in saving the battery of your device, therefore M8 co processor of iPhone 6 Plus is certainly a big benefit for the users.

Moreover, the device has a 1.4 GHz dual core processor with a 1GB of internal storage. Apple generally offers three different storage options instead of slot for a MicroSD card.  Obviously, the price of the iPhone 6 Plus is directly related to the storage of the device. If you want more storage then you have to spend more money for it. The three storage options of iPhone 6 Plus are 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.

iCloud is the only option to expand the storage of your iPhone 6 Plus.

On the other flip, HTC offered HTC One M8 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. However, HTC One M8 is not equipped with any additional processor except the usual Adreno 330 graphic processor. When it comes to storage HTC One M8 is way better since it has a 2 GB of internal RAM along with the option of Micro SD card.  The device is available in the 16 GB and 32 GB of storage options.

Users will have countless storage options in HTC One M8 due to the micro SD card of the device. Although there is not any co processor in HTC One M8, but its option of high storage will make it possible for your device to work more efficiently.

Camera:

As per the statement of Apple, the company has enhanced the 8 megapixel rear camera of iPhone 6 Plus through 1.5 micron pixels.  This novel camera comes with an iSight sensor along with focus pixel that help a lot in the process of autofocus phase detection. Optical image stabilization is one of the most exciting features of the camera of iPhone 6 Plus. The optical image stabilization has the ability to bear the shakes of your camera. In simple words, now you do not have to worry if you cannot keep your hand still while making a video. Optical Image Stabilization will take care of all these problems.

Whereas, HTC has not modified the camera of HTC One M8 that much this year. It has a 4 Ultrapixel rear camera with relatively larger pixel size. Ultrapixel sensor with the help of large sensor pixel improves the quality of a low light image. It is an extremely noteworthy feature for 3D images.

Specification:

Specs are the most important thing when you go to purchase a mobile phone. Therefore, it is impossible to ignore the specs of any device. Following are the specs of iPhone 6 and HTC One M8:

Apple launched iPhone 6 Plus with an A8 1.4GHZ dual core SoC Imagination Technologies. Undoubtedly, it is pretty forceful but still it is beatable. There are several other devices in the market that are comparatively more powerful than iPhone 6 Plus.

The company has really enhanced the connectivity of iPhone 6 Plus, since it comes with a LTE Cat 4 support. The company has also offered a bigger battery in iPhone 6 Plus which is definitely because of the large size of the device. However, the exact battery size of iPhone 6 Plus is 2,915 mAh.

On the other hand, HTC One M8 beats iPhone 6 Plus in terms of battery. HTC launched HTC One M8 with 2600mAh battery that is considerably bigger than the battery of iPhone 6 Plus.

Software:

It is really foolish to compare the software of the two devices since one runs on Android and the other on iOS.

iPhone 6 Plus works on the most recent version of iOS that is iOS 8. This latest update brings loads of alluring features such as Apple Pay, better iCloud, a brand new Health app, improved notification and facility to make use of the third party keyboard. The Health app of iOS 8 is really beneficial for health conscious people since it gather all your fitness details from different apps at a single place.

Windows Phone 8.1 VS iOS8: The War Of Betterment

September 27, 2014 By Karen Jackson Leave a Comment

Currently, there are thousands of users who have their iPhones in their hands. They are really enthusiastic and giddy. You must be thinking that they are excited about their new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. However, this is not the case they are excited about the new iOS 8.

Apple has already installed iOS 8 in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Whereas, the users of other iPhones need to install the new version of iOS in order to get benefit from its new features.

However, iOS 8 is not that much new update since it has the same interface which is present in iOS 7. It is merely software to show how much progress iOS 8 has made up till now. We have compared the iOS 8 update to the Windows Phone 8.1 to figure out which one is more suitable for our users.

Developers:

Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8.1 operating system has lots of similar features of iOS and Android. Although the company has not states anything but still the likeness in two operating systems cannot be ignored.

Generally, Windows Phone provides a closed app network. This closed app network puts a restriction on the options of users.

The chief difference is in the way the two software deal with the developers. Shortly after the release of iTunes App Store, Apple has opened its forum for the developers. Now developers could form apps and the company will definitely add them in the iPhones. On the other hand, Windows Phone is always frank with the developers. The developers can effortlessly communicate with the operating system. For instance, developers can make an addition of commands to their apps in the Windows Phone’s speech recognition system. This option is surely not available for the developers in the iPhone.

However, this time Apple has designed iOS 8 in a manner to fill the gap between the developers and the company. iOS 8 app developers can create whatever they want to from widgets to predictive keyboards. This is just not the end; Apple has also provided iPhone hardware access to game developer so that they can make faster and improved games. In short, iOS 8 is entirely depends upon the techniques of how developers use it.

Ecosystem:

Companies such as Apple and Microsoft are not designing all these features to generate revenue. They want the customers to enter into the world of their company and spend money on different items.

One of the best methods to attract customers is to make certain that the smartphone they manufacture match with their other items. Apple has an ecosystem of iPhone for several years. People can merely run and enjoy the music which they buy from their stores on their devices. Same is the case with videos

Continuity:

The feature of Continuity comes only for the users of iOS 8 and Mac OS X Yosemite. The company stated that they are relatively more concerned about the issues people experienced than the addition of new features.

Therefore, Continuity is released to fill the space that is present between the functionality of your iPhone and your Mac. User can also view the message of iPhone on Mac, but it is essential that users have installed iOS 8 on both the devices. Even user can answer a phone call on the iPhone and then continue to talk on Mac. These are all the advantages of this new feature known as Continuity.

Windows Phone struggle really hard to provide the same kind of functionality on their devices as well. However, Skype is the only app which can support all the devices that runs on Windows operating systems. Microsoft has added app syncing, credential saving and favorites syncing, but still it seems like something is missing in these features. Microsoft is really trying hard to introduce an app that works exactly like continuity but in vain.

Spotlight:

The Spotlight is a feature that lets users instantly find a file in their computers. Users can easily look for locations, apps, documents, video, and music through this search facility.

On the flip side, Microsoft has also offered a search feature but it does not work like Spotlight. Cartona is a feature that will permit users to search things in their Phones through a voice command. It offers all the information of your device such as contacts, apps, emails, videos and much more.

Cartona surely give a tough competition to Spotlight since Microsoft has added a voice assistant in it. However, the feature merely required a bit more organization.

iCloud Drive:

Apple released iCloud drive in order to replace Drop box. You just need to upload the things there to transfer them to your other devices. Some people consider it as a great rival of Microsoft’s One Drive service,

In general, both the two services are certainly equivalent in terms of performance on the mobile phones. OneDrive act like iCloud Drive when it comes to the syncs of pictures and videos.

Final Thought:

Indeed, there are various differences and tricks in Windows Phone 8.1 and iOS 8 but still they are quite same.  If iOS offered HealthKit for the fitness of users than Windows Phone has bing Health & Fitness for the same purpose.

Nonetheless, if you want a one word answer for the comparison of the two operating systems, then iOS 8 is way better than the Windows Phone 8.1. The reason behind this is the well developed Apple stores and apps.

iOS 8 Update Scares People: Apps Break, Camera Roll Disappeared

September 25, 2014 By Karen Jackson Leave a Comment

The absence of iOS 8 Camera Roll compels users to think that this new update deleted all their memorable pictures. No need to worry about those pictures, they are still in your iPhone in a new and a lot secure place.

This time Apple removed the folder of Camera Roll from the new version of iOS 8. It indicates that now users are required to look for the photos on any other place. iOS 8 would really give you a headache to search for your old pictures through the Facebook app.

Previously, Apple placed all your iPhone photos in a folder named Camera Roll. In iOS 8 the company modified the feature and instead of Camera Roll called it Recently Added. Unfortunately, this new folder will only hold the pictures captured in last 30 days.

Apple introduced a new version of iOS 8 which provide access to all of your photos.  However, you would have to change your habits of uploading picture in order to use that option. Now, you cannot locate your old photos while uploading them in any apps such as Facebook, Dropbox etc

The app that Apple exchanged with the Camera Roll is present in the Photo App, on the Photos Tab. The app is known as Collections

The Collection will arrange your photos according to the date and location.  Collection runs in the similar way as the camera roll, you can effortlessly scroll down through them. The mere difference is in the name and categorization of the folder. The Collection will allow you to look for your photo with the help of location and date.

Sadly, in iOS 8 you cannot enter into Collection while using other apps like Instragram, Facebook, Twitter and Dropbox.

The majority of the users freaked out when they could not find the photos and complained about this problem on the Apple Store Form.

People searched a lot for a technique through which they can select Collection from inside the Facebook and Dropbox apps but in vain. You can easily choose from other albums as well, but it will only show the pictures of last 30 days.

The only method is to search in Collection for the photos which you wish to share and then share it on Facebook. However, there is another way for uploading old pictures that are not in the Collection. For this purpose you have to look for the photo, tap on Select, tap on your photos and then on Add to the albums.

If you frequently do this then it would be convenient to create a new album, particularly for uploading the pictures on Facebook, Dropbox and other apps.

Obviously, you would not be able to add them in Recently added, but you can include it in the album that is reachable from Facebook and Dropbox.

It is quite easier to search other albums in Drop box, but there is no such option in Facebook. If you are using Facebook tab on the Camera Roll at the top and then on the album you wish to choose from.

Many people would not consider it an appropriate solution but this is the only way out of this problem.

Apple iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4: Best iOS vs Best Android Phone Comparison

September 24, 2014 By Karen Jackson Leave a Comment

The iPhone 6 has been the most awaited smartphone of the year. Though Samsung has been trying its best to defeat the iPhone brand in the US, the popularity of the iPhone models has been always exceptional in the US.

Apple has always been manufacturing iPhones that featured smaller displays. Apple always claimed that small-sized handsets are quite pocket-friendly but now since most of the Android counterpart brands are sporting larger displays, finally even the new iPhone 6 models are sporting larger displays.

The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus sport larger displays of 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch, respectively. By this, these handsets become the largest iPhones ever. Though other brands like HTC, Motorola and Sony have produced powerful smartphones in the recent past. The iPhone models are always compared with the handsets from the South Korean tech giant, Samsung.

Apple had launched the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus along with the Apple Watch on Sept 9 by holding a media event at the Flint Center at Cupertino, CA. The very first day when Apple had begun the iPhone 6 pre-orders, Apple servers went down for couple of hours and then Apple announced that a record-breaking number of more than 4 million units of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus handsets were pre-ordered.

The iPhone 6 which sports a 4.7-inch display screen is the successor model of 2013’s iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. The stocks of the iPhone 6 Plus are quite less as reported by multiple tech site sources. So, it is quite evident that the iPhone 6 will be competing against the Note 4 in the coming weeks.

Galaxy Note 4 is the fourth Note series phablet iteration from Samsung. Since 2011, Samsung has been launching Note phablet handsets every year. It is the first handset that comes out a hybrid of a smartphone and a tablet featuring a word-class stylus called the S-Pen.

The Galaxy Note 4 was announced alongside its new variant, the Galaxy Note Edge. Before both the handsets were unveiled at the Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event during the IFA event week, the rumor mill reported a lot about the Galaxy Note 4 it failed to reveal Samsung was going to launch two phablet models. Samsung managed to keep the Note Edge under the wraps pretty well.

Though Samsung had revealed several forthcoming products like the Note Edge, Gear VR virtual reality headset and the Samsung Gear S smartwatch, the major talk of the show was the Galaxy Note 3 successor, the Note 4 and the Note Edge which sports a curved display on its right edge.

Samsung has not revealed when the Note Edge would be available for purchase but the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date is October 17 as revealed by Samsung and its carrier partners. Samsung currently does not want to talk about the Note Edge which shows that it would be arriving probably by the end of the year in the US and early by next year in other countries.

iPhone 6 Release Date

The iPhone 6 release date of September 19 has already passed and many consumers who did not delay even a second to book it when the iPhone 6 pre-orders began on September 12 have already received their handsets. Curved Display

Unlike the Galaxy Note Edge which sports a curved display, the Note 4 does not feature it but still houses a quad HD display screen which is not available in any of the smartphones available in the market except for LG G3. The specs of the Note 4 are more powerful than that of LG G3.

S-Pen

It goes without saying the S-Pen stylus is the most famous feature of the Galaxy Note 4. This is what sets it apart from any of the smartphones available in the market. The S-Pen provided with the Note 4 has more sensitivity compared to the one that came with the Note 3. The Note 4’s S-Pen can be used in different angles for drawing and handwriting. Early reviews claim that it functions more or less like a stylus that comes with professional tablets.

Sensors

The Galaxy Note 4 features new and exciting sensors. The fingerprint sensor which was only available on the Galaxy S5 has arrived on the Note 4. Moreover, the handset is equipped with the heart rate sensor that is capable of tracking the pulse rate of the user. September 24, 2014 By Karen Jackson Leave a Comment

Samsung fans are eagerly waiting for the Galaxy Note 4, which was announced on Sept 3, to arrive to the market. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was revealed along with the Galaxy Note Edge.

On Sept 9, Apple also revealed two new iPhones, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. It is the first time that the Cupertino company has launched iPhones with larger displays. With the arrival of iPhone 6 Plus, Apple penetrates into the phablet category.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders began on Sept 12 and those customers who have placed the new iPhone models are expected to get their iPhones on Sept 19 which is the official release date.

When is the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 arriving? The Galaxy Note has released a new commercial that makes fun on the Apple’s iPhone launch event. It claims that the iPhone 6 Plus which is the first phablet from the Cupertino company is nothing but an imitation of their Note phablet. Samsung claims that it has been excelling in the phablet segment from a long time and it is now only that its major competitor has entered in this category.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4Release Date for US and UK

The Samsung Galaxy Note release date has not been announced officially. However, rumours indicate the Galaxy Note will probably hit the stands in the coming month. The new commercial too confirms this fact. At the end of the commercial, one can see the ‘The Next Big Thing is Here. October 2014’.

In the recent past, the Galaxy Note 4 was reported to pass the FCC clearance and Bluetooth filings for the units that will be introduced in US as well as all over the world. According to the retailers in Netherlands, the Galaxy Note 4 is expected to hit the shelves by October 10. And for US, the rumored Galaxy Note 4 release date is October 3.

There is no rumour about pre-orders for Galaxy Note 4. So, the Note 4 is probably made going to be made available at the market. The most probable reason why Apple offers pre-orders is that this can help them in preparing stocks that deplete quite quickly. Samsung has never faced such an issue. In fact, speculation has it that the South Korean giant will be shipping around 11 million Galaxy Note 4 handsets

Yet another rumour revealed that Sprint’s Galaxy Note 4 with a model number of SM-N910P has cleared FCC filings. Like other wireless carriers of the US, Sprint is also tightlipped about the Galaxy Note 4 release date. As far as UK markets are concerned, we do not have any concrete information on the Galaxy Note 4 UK release date.

Here are the 10 best features of the Galaxy Note 4:

Charming and Premium Design

The very look at the Note 4 will make you feel as if you are holding something very premium. Instead of plastic, Samsung is offering a cool metal band along with a soft textured rear.

Marvelous Quad HD Display

You will simply fall in love with the display of the Galaxy Note. It is very crisp and bright. The 5.7-inch quad HD display screen supports 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. The screen is packed with 515 pixels. If you thought that LG G3’s display was good, the Galaxy Note 4’s display is even better because it is backed up by the Super AMOLED display technology.

Intuitive S-Pen

The S-Pen has become smarter and user-friendlier than ever before. Making a note using the S-Pen stylus is just like using a pen to write on a paper. Samsung has improved its sensitivity and it allows the user to write quickly and also in different angles.

Amazing Multi-Window Mode

The Multi-Window mode which is an exclusive feature of Galaxy Note 4 has been revamped. It conveniently allows the user to run two apps simultaneously by dividing the screen. Users can pop out the window and move it anywhere on the screen. Users can also minimize a running app into a small icon and use any other app in full screen.

Stunning 16MP Camera

Thanks to the Optical Image Stabilization feature of the 16MP lens sitting on the rear side of the Note 4, users can record topnotch quality videos without any shakiness. Even in poor lighting conditions, users can snap high quality photos and videos.

Great 3.7MP Frontal Camera

Samsung has done a great job in offering a 3.7MP frontal camera that can capture good quality selfies. The photos taken with the front-facing camera capture more light and appear very good. It even allows users to snap wider angled selfies.

Powerful Processor

The Snapdragon 805 processor lying under the hood of the Galaxy Note 4 offers a faster processing speed of 2.7GHz. It is equipped with Adreno 330 graphics and 3GB RAM which allows users to high quality videos and seamless performance without encountering any lag.

Topnotch Fingerprint Sensor

The fingerprint sensor lies below the Home button of the Galaxy Note 4. Samsung has improved the scanner in the Note 4 and it can be conveniently used to login into online accounts using biometric recognition instead of typing the username and password.

Health Sensors For Staying Fit

The heart rate monitor that is slotted at the rear of the Note 4 can not only keep you updated on the heart rate but also it can be used to snap selfies. The UV sensor is smart enough to inform the user about the level of UV rays and guide the user on how to stay protected from UV rays.

Battery That Can Really Last Longer

The 3220mAh battery is equipped with faster charging technology. This feature allows users to charge half the capacity of the Note 4 in just 30 minutes. Moreover, the ultra power saving mode will darken the display screen and close apps that consume lot of battery. And it will enhance the battery to churn out a day’s power helping you to easily make phone calls, browse on the web and send text messages.

Galaxy Note Edge Release Date in US, UK and Notable Features

September 24, 2014 By Karen Jackson Leave a Comment

Galaxy Note Edge was announced on the very same day when the Galaxy Note was announced. The Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 revealed a new high-end variant of the Galaxy Note that comes with a very unique display screen.

Galaxy Note Edge Release Date in US and UK

The Galaxy Note Edge release date for US has not been announced officially. A Galaxy Note Edge model has been known to clear the FCC filings earlier in September. Yet another variant of Galaxy Note Edge was spotted passing Bluetooth certifications. This device has a model number of SM-N915G. When a device passes FCC and Bluetooth certifications, it is imminent that the device is going to release soon.

Note 4 models have also known to clear these filings and it is scheduled to hit the market in October. However, there has been no official announcement on the Galaxy Note Edge release date in the US.

Interestingly, the scenario is slightly different in the UK. One of the popular retailers in the UK named Clove has listed the Galaxy Note Edge with a price tag of £650 including VAT. Clove is scheduled to sell the Galaxy Note 4 in the week starting from October 13 with a price point of £575 including VAT.

Clove has stated that the Galaxy Note Edge stocks have not arrived and it claims that the handset is not expected to launch alongside the Note 4. The Note Edge will not be available in any of the countries of Europe except Germany. The retailer plans to purchase the Galaxy Note Edge from German retailers and resell it in the UK. Other UK retailers like Carphone Warehouse, Expansys and Handtec are also planning to sell the Note Edge and have asked interested customers to register their email addresses with them.

In Germany, the Galaxy Note Edge can be pre-ordered from Germany with a price tag of €1000. Another retailer from Germany, Notebooksbilliger has also priced the Galaxy Note Edge with the same price.

There are speculations that the Galaxy Note Edge will not be mass produced like the Note 4. Rumors have it that Samsung has plans to produce 11 million Samsung Galaxy Note 4 units. However, the same rumor reveals that the South Korean tech giant aims to ship only one million Galaxy Note Edge units.

Analysts feel that it may be a good decision by the South Korean tech giant to manufacture only one million Note Edge units. Since the Galaxy Note Edge is rumored to arrive late to the market, by the time it arrives most of the customers have purchased the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Motorola Moto X. So, one million units of Note Edge would be enough to meet the requirements of the remaining buyers.

Samsung is organizing an exhibition in Japan for eager Note Edge buyers to get a hands-on experience of the handset on Sept 18. Visitors will also get chance to try the all new Samsung Gear S smartwatch.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Notable Features

Design and Display

When it comes to the looks of the Galaxy Note Edge, you will be reminded of the new Galaxy Note 4. The rear is flanked with faux leather which appears much more premium than what is available on the Galaxy Note 3. The handset is available in colors like black, gold, and bronze and pink. The edges of the Galaxy Note Edge are decked with impressive aluminum frame.

The Galaxy Note Edge is a new addition to the Note series that comes with a extra bit of screen on the right edge of the device. The Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 5.7-inch quad HD display screen which offers a display resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.

The Galaxy Note Edge comes with a slightly smaller display of 5.6-inch but thanks to the extra portion of screen tit supports a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels. The Super AMOLED display supports a pixel count of 524ppi. It is the first handset to come with such a curved display. The curved display can show notifications and without turning on the display, you will be able to view the alert from the side of the handset.

Processor, Graphics, RAM and Storage

The Galaxy Note Edge is powered by the very same processor that lies under the hood of the Galaxy Note 4. The Snapdragon 805 chipset comprises of the Krait 450 quad-core processor that delivers a clocking speed of 2.7GHz.

It also comes with Adreno 420 graphics. Like the Note 4, it is also housed with a 3GB RAM. The Galaxy Note Edge is available in two storage variants of 32GB and 64GB. The external storage can support up to 128GB of microSD.

Unique Features

There are plenty of unique features on the Galaxy Note Edge. Apart from the curved display, it is comprised of the trademark S-Pen stylus which is smarter and more intuitive than all the previous S-Pens. The lower edge of the S-Pen can be detached and users can use either the rubber tip or plastic tip to write or draw on the Note’s screen.

The Multi-Window feature allows you to run two apps on the same screen by dividing the screen into two halves. You can minimize a running app to a small icon. There are numerous sensors of the Note Edge. However, the most notable ones include the fingerprint sensor and health sensors like heart rate, UV and SpO2 sensor.

Camera, Connectivity and Battery

The Galaxy Note Edge comes loaded with a whopping 16MP camera at the rear side. It is packed with features like simultaneous high-definition video and photo shooting, 2160p video recording at 30fps, OIS, autofocus and LED flash. The frontal camera of 3.7MP is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps. The camera has been built to shoot topnotch quality selfies.

As far as connectivity is concerned, the Galaxy Not Edge features the usual connectivity features. It is fitted with Cat. 6 LTE modem that is capable of delivering faster download speeds. The Note is packed with a 3000mAh battery that is equipped with features like fast charging technology and the ultra power saving mode, that are also available with the Galaxy Note 4.

Nexus 6, Nexus 9 Release Date Speculations Increases as Future of Google Android Silver Goes Kaput

September 21, 2014 By Karen Jackson Leave a Comment

Speculations on Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 release date are increasing day by day and at the same time rumors have it that the Google has put the Android Silver program on hold and its future is uncertain.

Usually, Google used to roll out Nexus devices that featured stock version of Android. In April, reports started doing rounds that search engine giant was working on something new called Android Silver program which would replace the Nexus line of products. The Android Silver was expected to feature premium smartphones that was expected to arrive at the beginning of 2015.

Android Silver’s Future Uncertain

Rumors of Android Silver became strong when reports about Nexus 6 smartphone and Nexus 7 being shelved started doing rounds. Sadly, Google never confirmed anything about the Android Silver program and there is no news whether Google will really work on such a program.

After the arrival of announcement of smartphones like the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Google is now rumored to be working on the launch of two Nexus products which clearly indicates that Google is not working on Android Silver. Vice-versa, since the Google Android Silver seems to be on hold or dead, new Nexus products are expected to release this year like it used to in the previous years.

Nexus 6 Smartphone and Nexus 9 Tablet Rumors Getting Stronger

Rumors about Google working two new Nexus products have grown steadily in the past months. Google is supposedly working on a Nexus smartphone as well as on a Nexus tablet.

Google Nexus 6 Smartphone

As far as the new Nexus smartphone is concerned, rumors are referring to the handset as Google Nexus 6. It is heavily speculated that the next Nexus handset will be a Motorola product and will not be manufactured by LG. The South Korean tech giant had manufactured the last two Nexus smartphones.

It is expected to feature a 5.2-inch quad HD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It is speculated to come housed with Android 4.5 or 5.0 L OS. It may be powered with a Snapdragon 801 processor which will offer a processing speed of 2.5GHz and 3GB RAM. The internal storage capacity of this Motorola Nexus 6 smartphone is going to be 32GB.

The Nexus 6 smartphone will feature an enhanced camera. It will also feature front facing speakers which Motorola has been offering on its recent handsets like the Moto X 2014 and Moto G 2014.

Google Nexus 9 Tablet

The Nexus tablet that is reportedly under the wraps with Google is speculated to be an 8.9-inch tablet. Google has launched two Google Nexus 7 tablets in the past. New rumors indicate that the next Nexus tablet will be an 8.9-inch product which may be rolled to the market as Nexus 8 or Nexus 9.

Instead of producing a Asus tablet like Google did for past two years, rumors point to the fact that the next Nexus tablet will be an HTC product. Google is also partnering with Nvidia for this upcoming tablet.

Nvidia is the company that has manufactured the processors that are present in the original Google Nexus 7 and Google Nexus 7 2013 edition. Through one of the legal documents of Nvidia, it was revealed that their new iteration of quad-core Tegra K1 built for mobile devices will power up the HTC Nexus 9 tablet which was supposed to arrive in the third quarter of 2014.

Since the HTC Nexus 9 tablet has not arrived till now, heavy rumors indicate that the new tablet would be aimed for the upcoming holiday season release. According to the rumors, the HTC Nexus 9 will adorn an aluminum body.

The 8.9-inch display of HTC Nexus 9 would support a display resolution of 2048 x 1440 pixels. It may feature speakers on the front side of the device along with 5MP camera. At the rear, it may sport an 8MP camera.

The HTC Nexus 9 tablet will be powered with the upcoming Android 4.5 or 5.0 OS which is speculated to get unraveled within this year. In the recent past, Android L rumors have become stronger as major Google apps are in the process of getting updated to sport the new design features.

The Android L release date has not been revealed officially by Google. Also, Google is still mum on Motorola Nexus 6 smartphone and 8.9-inch HTC Nexus 9 tablet. More details are expected to roll out in the coming days.
