Multiple state agencies including the Bureau for Criminal Apprehension, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, and Dodge County deputies have launched a multi-state manhunt for 56-year-old Lois Riess, believed to have murdered her husband and another woman from Florida.
The authorities have been trying to track down and capture Reiss since early March when the woman allegedly gunned down her husband in their Blooming Prairie home.
Based on the police report, the authorities were made aware of the homicide after the man’s business partner called 911 and told the operator that he hasn’t shown up for work in weeks.
Upon arrived at the location, the law enforcement officials discovered Riess’ body. The coroner’s report reveals that the man was shot multiple times. No time of death could be estimated.
