Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Special Features

September 15, 2014 By Roxanne Briean Leave a Comment

Premium Design

Over the years, there have been a lot of complaints about plastic casing of Samsung phones, and it appears that Samsung has finally introduced metal casing for its phones. Galaxy Note 4 has a metal frame in contrast to Note 3 that has a plastic frame. This metal frame gives the phone an expensive look. However, just like Note 3, Note 4 has a faux-leather back.

Ultraviolet (UV) Sensor

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 appears to be the first mobile phone to come with a built-in UV sensor. Users are going to be able to get information about the quantity of UV radiation they are getting when they are under the sun. It comes in five grade measurements namely: Low, Moderate, High, Very High, and Extreme. The UV sensor is activated when you hold the phone at some degree angle while under the sun. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is programmed to warn people when they are getting too much UV radiation. I will personally love to see how accurate UV radiation measurements are when this phone is released for sale. But until then, you can expect that Galaxy note 4 is going to provide you with a mobile UV sensor so that you can know the amount of UV radiation you are being exposed to from time to time.

Ultra Power Saving Mode

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 features “ultra power saving mode.” This power saving mode allows you to use your phone for an extended period. When you activate ultra power saving mode, the phone will run a simple home screen layout by deactivating unnecessary features. In addition, you will have a limited access to apps when the ultra power saving mode is activated. This feature may prove very important when you are having a low battery level and there is no way to charge your phone. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a 3,220mAH.  Another special feature that comes with Galaxy Note 4 is the Fast Charging capability. This is a fantastic feature. Through this special feature, you should be able to charge Note 4 battery to 50% level in 30 minutes.

Screen Quality

Galaxy note 4 comes with Quad HD Super AMOLED technology. The resolution is 1440 x 2560 pixels (approx. 515 ppi pixel density). The screen also features an adaptive display technology. This technology allows the phone to change its display depending on the light of the place you are viewing the screen. All these features give the phone an elegant display. Colors appear very clear and vivid on this phone.

Enhanced S- Pen and S Note

The S Pen has been improved in many ways. I personally love some of the new features included in the S Pen. The stylus now has 2048 levels of pressure sensing which double that of Note 3 and thus making it easier to write on Galaxy Note 4. In addition, S Note app now allows you to choose between Calligraphy pen and Fountain Pen. Both Fountain and Calligraphy pens mimic what you will experience when using a real pen and paper. Smart Select lets you select multiple lines of text without having to long-press the screen. In addition, you can also select multiple images from your gallery by using the Smart Select mode. This mode allows you to use the S Pen just as you use a mouse. By pressing the side button of S Pen you can launch the Smart Select mode. If you want to select a text, image or an item, just press the side button of S Pen and drag it across the items you want to select. Another feature of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that is worthy of mentioning is Snap Note. This feature gives you the opportunity to take the picture of a handwritten note and then convert it to digital copy. You can then edit/modify the note as you like. Snap Note is programmed in such a way that it can recognize a text and an image present on an analog notebook.

Enhanced Multitasking Capability

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with 2.7GGz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor making it very fast in handling different tasks at the same time. However, it is important to point out that some markets will get a Exynos 5433 processor. In addition, Note 4 has a 3GB RAM installed, and thereby making the multitasking capability of this phone a great one.Note 4 has an enhanced split-screen capability. You can now easily resize or float app windows just like a widget. By holding the small circle on the apps, you can quickly create a floating window, and you may then drag this floating window to any part of the screen.

 Enhanced Voice Recording Capability

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 features a new voice recording app that has the ability to give a great record in noisy environments. It comes equipped with three microphone to help with a directional noise cancellation. In addition, Note 4 gives you the ability to select direction you want to pick up voices from. You can select up to eight different directions. For example, if you are in a big hall you can set Note 4 recording app to record voices only coming from the speakers. This gives you the advantage of getting a quality record. In addition, you can use the interview mode to isolate the interviewee voice in order to get a quality voice record.

Heart Rate Monitor

Just like Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 also has a heart rate sensor that allows you to track your pulse by just tapping your finger on heart rate sensor located at the back of the phone.

Fingerprint Sensor

The fingerprint sensor is similar to the one present in Samsung Galaxy S5. In addition, Galaxy Note 4 now gives you the ability to use fingerprint shortcuts. This enables you customize your individual fingers for different app. For example, you can set your index finger to open one app, and set another finger to open another app. After customizing different fingers for different app, all you have to do to open this app is to flick the finger that correspond to the app you want to open. This will probably give you a quick access to your most used apps. You can also use the fingerprint sensor to sign in into compatible websites like PayPal.

Camera

Note 4 camera can take shadow-free photos with real-time HDR. The phone has 16MP camera compared to 12MP camera present in Note 3. In addition, Note 4 has optical image stabilization making it good at taking clear and sharp images. Samsung equipped Note 4 with a 3.7 MP front-facing camera and an f/1.9 aperture lens..

The highly anticipated Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update has just started. Way back in June, Google has launched two spanking new Android 4.4 KitKat updates in the forms of Android 4.4.3 KitKat and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Both were, and still are, bug fixers intended at hush-up major Android 4.4.2 KitKat problems. In prior three months, we have seen numerous Android manufacturers make it a point to bring these two updates to Smartphone and tablet users.

We have seen that Samsung lagged behind in this stance, but early this month, they also comes up with the number of new Samsung Galaxy Android 4.4.4 KitKat update details including an Android 4.4.4 KitKat update inveterate for the Galaxy Note 4 and the company’s first Android 4.4.4 KitKat squash.
Recently, Samsung has launched the Galaxy S3 Neo Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update in Kazakhstan. You can get the update via company’s Samsung Kies software for PC. In fact, this update was the company’s first Android 4.4.4 KitKat update but it’s not going to be its last for sure.

The Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update has started rolling out yesterday. The update brings out with the number of new features and it should be rolling out, gradually, to Galaxy Note 3 available owners on the Now Network. As per the reports waving around, the Sprint Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update was prowling on the Sprint’s Website in the last week; although it has not been out yet.

No doubt, it seems to be the good news for the Galaxy users all over the United States, Australia and the rest of the world but it doesn’t alter the truth that the Samsung Galaxy Android 4.4.4 KitKat condition remains gloomy in front of the Android L release.
