The iPhone 6 was an incredible success that propelled Apple to greater heights – who would’ve guessed that this was even possible?!
The iPhone 6s is just around the corner – hopefully! If we take a look at Apple’s release schedule, most of their smartphones were released during Autumn, so we should be expecting their new device to hit sometime between September and November.
It’s also rumoured that because Apple is adding so many new features to their smartphone they’ll call it iPhone 7, not 6s, but who knows for sure?
What we can do is talk about the rumours, and speculate amongst ourselves.
Force Touch
This is just pure speculation over here, but Force Touch would be a great addition to Apple’s smartphone. Their new MacBook line has already adopted the Force and it was positively received by users, and critics alike. What you may not know is that Force is completely useless – you’ll use it for its novelty sake a couple of times, then you’ll revert back to your old ways. I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m just saying that you shouldn’t fix something that ain’t broken.
What I do love about the Force Touch is that Apple will let third-party developers create apps for their new feature. Can’t wait to see what crazy things innovative minds will come up!
12 Megapixel Camera
We all know that the iPhone 6 has one of the best cameras on the market. But Apple’s 8 MP camera hasn’t change in a while – I’m not dissing them, and I’m not a hypocrite, I know what I’ve just wrote, but they have the capabilities to add more megapixels. It’s not like they will be reinventing the camera, or how it works – although, we’re talking about Apple here.
We see smartphones with great image quality, and our display is outputting greater, and better, resolutions year in, and year out, so why not better photo resolutions too?
It’s most likely that the company will try to add more power to their camera.
A9 Processor
This isn’t speculation, and we’re going by pure logic here. With every new iteration, Apple has upgraded the smartphone’s processor. What Apple isn’t going to change is how much RAM their device will hold – rumours state that the company won’t add more GB to the one it already has.
A New Colour
The Rose Gold colour option will most likely be available with the new iPhone – in a strategy to keep in line with Apple’s Watch. Previous iterations hold Silver, Gold and Space Gray colours. I don’t know if I’ve ever told you, but I really really really hate the colour Gold – every single device that I saw that had that colour felt tacky and cheap to me. I can’t stand it, and it makes me think that you picked it just for attention.
A Much Improved Fingerprint Scanner
An improved fingerprint scanner will most likely lead to an early adoption of Apple Pay’s service – but, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, and let’s first see if it’s working properly.
The iPhone 6s, or 7, or Omega, or whatever else you want to call it, will most likely be a huge success exactly like the iPhone 6.
I bet that those who said that the company will decline after Steve Job’s death are eating their shoes now.
