Amazon Fire Release Date with Full Specification

July 18, 2014 By Michael Turner Leave a Comment

Amazon has really out done itself with its first step in to the smart phone market. The new Amazon Fire Phone supports 3G and 4G connectivity and uses a nano SIM. It was announced in June this year and is expected to be released this month. It weighs 160 grams and has a 4.7 inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with 16 M colors and, naturally, also supports multi-touch.
The new phone has two memory options: a 32 GB option and a 64 GB option, the RAM is apparently 2 GB for both which seems upsetting, but read on because this phone genuinely has something different to show us!

It allows the usual; GPRS, EDGE, WLAN, Bluetooth, NFC and USB options and on top of that has a 13 MP primary camera, wait for it, that’s not all. The camera allows optical image stabilization, LED flash and auto-focus along with geo-tagging. The secondary camera is not too bad either, it’s a humble 2.1 MP camera which also facilitates video making.
Moving on to the hardware, this phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset along with a Quad Core 2.2 GHz Krait 400 CPU and the Adreno 330 GPU. Moreover, all of this is integrated with an Amazon based operating system called Amazon Fire OS v3.5.

Now that we’re done with most of the boring technical details let me introduce you to how this phone has genuinely distinguished itself and attracted the market.

The Amazon Fire Phone has two such attractive attributes; one is the Firefly, which allows the user to press a button and media or information from the external environment can be detected and acquired or bought on the phone. Some of you may be thinking this is kind of like Shazam. Well, basically, yes it is. But expand Shazam from music to just about everything and you will have the Firefly.

Another highly attractive feature is the Dynamic Perspective user interface. This operates through 4 front facing camera sensors on the phone which detect special relations distance from the phone. The cameras allow the phone to assess how the user is viewing the phone, and as a result gives the user different views of the same picture from different angles as they would appear in reality, and this is not only a home screen bound and uselessly attractive gimmick. It is utilized in different apps and seeks to enhance the gaming experience on the phone as well. There is one apparent uncertainty though, the Fire Phone has a 2400 mAh battery which should be adequate for most high-end smartphone but may prove to be inadequate for this phone considering the extra sensors, display options and cameras in this phone but that, only time can assure us of. The 32 GB version of the phone is now available on AT&T at $199.

Data Center Revenue Expands as early Haswell Xeon Buyers Push Intel

July 16, 2014 By Cristopher Hall Leave a Comment

The upcoming Haswell Xeon E5 v3 processor from Intel has already generated profits and revenue in the Data Center Group by the end of the seconds quarter.

Haswell-Xeon-Buyers-Push-Intel
For those of you who are unaware, Data Center a part of Intel that makes processors, motherboards, and chipsets that are used in servers, switches and storage arrays. Even though the PC Client Group is much larger in size, the Data Center has been growing at an impressive rate.
In fact, both are quite essential for Intel as they need PC and other device volumes to aid in cutting down costs for the production of servers, switches and storage chips.
Brian Krzanich, Intel’s CEO has reported that the Data Centre Group set an all-time record for sales in the second quarter. Intel has increased the Data Center Group revenue over $1 billion over a year. Even if it’s difficult to wrap your head around, it still sounds impressive.
It may be difficult to imagine the tremendous increase in revenue considering the new server chip is set to be launched in September.
Early adopters if the Hawswell Xeon E5 v3 chips have conspired to pump up revenues even before they officially come to market by getting the chips first, these include HPC customers and cloud builders. This is indicative of the fact that now, as the IT industry and technology in general advances; customers will be able to move to the front and get their way. Notwithstanding the professional envy and the disadvantage to the rest, these seemingly small preferential advantages add up to a substantial advantage, else they wouldn’t be really increasing the revenues of the technological giant.

A good News by NASA for all the Space Lovers

July 16, 2014 By Cristopher Hall Leave a Comment

Humans are always eager to find whether there is a life outside the planet Earth or not. It seems like our scientist of NASA are soon going to give a good news.

Recently, NASA has announced that they are incredibly close to discover more planets like Earth or signs of life in any one of the planets. In 2009, an astronaut John Grunsfeld said that it’s a dream to find out any planet similar to Earth. NASA’s task is to examine other planets and it starts step by step firstly, observing all the ground-based things and then comes the turn of space based things. They are looking into stars as well for a slight indication of human existence since several stars contain that liquid which is responsible for the living of human being. Matt Mountain stated that it is recently discovered that our galaxy has 100 million other planets.

He gave another good news that it is not yet an authentic statement but yes, they have found signs of life on one of the ice moons. As we all know that the tiny plants are more complicated to study since they shine quite brightly. Therefore, for the confirmation of this report they are planning to launch a which will help them out whether a star has that particular atmospheric gase or not. They are more enthusiastic to find that gas because it is an essential element for the creation of life in a planet.

Novartis and Google Seek to Revolutionize Eye Care with the Smart Lens Technology

July 15, 2014 By Cristopher Hall Leave a Comment

Novartis has revealed that its eye care division Alcon has entered into an agreement with Google[x] which is a division of Google Inc devoted to find innovative solutions to global problems. The agreement is concerned with the development of a smart lens which is capable of adjusting to ocular conditions and a little more.

The agreement will provide Alcon an opportunity to use Google’s Smart Lens technology and combine it with their comprehensive knowledge of human physiology. When you think about it, the possibilities seem endless. This partnership of sorts between Alcon and Google represents a step towards integrating technology with medicine to manage and control diseases.

”We are looking forward to working with Google to bring together their advanced technology and our extensive knowledge of biology to meet unmet medical needs.” said Novartis CEO Joseph Jimenez.

Novartis and Google have both repeatedly suggested that this lens will involve non-invasive sensors and will seek to improve people’s lives rather than create problems for them. The miniaturized electronics within the Smart Lens along with the non-invasive sensors will try to detect fluid levels and attempt to auto adjust the lens. Novartis’s main interest in this is grounded in two areas: helping diabetic patients manage their glucose levels by detection of glucose from the fluid in the eye in a non-invasive way and helping people with presbyopia (farsightedness) by accommodating the lens to fit the visual needs of the user. If they do achieve such a result, and it doesn’t seem doubtful considering their expertise in their respective fields, this will revolutionize diagnostics, pharmacology and medicinal science in general.

”Alcon and Google have a deep and common passion for innovation,” Jeff George, Division head of Alcon pointed.
So unless you are a paranoid conspiracy theorist with a suspicious view of the external world, this will definitely get you excited about the future.

Another Survival Tale from J.C Chandor

July 15, 2014 By Cristopher Hall Leave a Comment

Nowadays, plenty of Hollywood movies are based on real life incidents, horror movies are on top of it. In the same way J.C chandor the famous director has recently announced about his upcoming movie “A most violent year”.

J.C Chandor

This movie is formed on the unforgettable BP oil spill disaster which occurred in 2010 in the Gulf of Mexico. It was named as the second largest environmental disaster of U.S. The movie will not only find the people or government official liable for the oil spill, it would also be a story of 100 employees who were on the rig at that time and how they fought for their lives.

Chandor is hopeful that it will break all the records in the history of Hollywood firstly because he is popular for his survival stories like ALL IS LOST and secondly due to the confidence he has on the producer, of the famous movie transformer, Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Well nobody knows, this movie may give Chandor another Oscar and leave a mark on his career as well as one of the best films of his life.

Severe airstrikes are being experienced in the city creating terror and resulting in hundreds of killings making it really difficult for the people of the city to survive in the country. This Holy Month they are experiencing a rush of hardships as there is a shortage of food due to which Muslims of Gaza are not breaking their fasts even after the sunset.

These drone attacks were started at the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan when two Palestinian fighters got killed and wounded in the Gaza Strip. Since then they have fired rockets in the Gaza strips, killing almost 800 innocent people.

Due to these drone attacks the economy of the state has come to an abrupt halt as Gaza do not have enough cash to pay the workers or even partly pay the workers and these excessive attacks on the innocent people have affected the business life of the city, shutting down the major ATMs making it difficult for the fasting Muslims to spend in this Holy Month.

He added that he used to do business of 1000 shekels per day in this Holy Month of Ramadan but due to these attacks he is only earning a mere 50 shekels leaving him with almost nothing profit.

Israel attacks are still going on leaving the people unprivileged of even their basic needs. The economy of the state has been shaken up badly and there seems to be no end to it. Let’s see how the city handles the economic disaster in the coming days of this Holy Month.
