A blast hit Pakistan’s southwestern city of Quetta today, killing at least one person and wounding 10 people.
According to initial investigation reports by the police, the blast in Quetta was carried out by planting an explosive on a motorbike standing on the road that led to the airport.
The police official told the media, “Initial investigations show that one person has been killed and 10 injured. The intensity of the blast shattered glasses and windows of nearby buildings and also destroyed three cars and some motorcycles.”

The motive and target of the blast could not be ascertained since it was still in the initial stages, but the police official confirmed a detailed probe.
Balochistan province has been a victim of numerous bomb blasts, target killings, as well as , sectarian violence, its civilians bearing the brunt of terror attacks by foreign militants and separatists.
