Former Governor of Missouri, Joseph Teasdale died at age 78.
Bill Teasdale, governor’s eldest son told The Associated Press, that he passed away at a hospice center, located in Kansas City, Missouri after complications from pnuemonia, on Thursday evening.
Mr Teasdale was surrounded by his family at the hospice center where he passed away.

Joe Teasdale, popularly known as, “Walking Joe” for his covering of 1,000 mile treks across the US state, during his 1972 election campaign.
Mr Teasdale defeated Republican Gov. Christopher S. Bond in 1976 elections and became Missouri’s governor and served until 1981.
