The July 24, 1805, this letter is written by Thomas Jefferson, the 62 years old president, to the estate manager and his friend regarding his desire of parceling the portion of the property to his grandchildren for that he wishes to appraised his Poplar Forest plantation in Virginia.

The price of this one page letter, written by Thomas Jefferson handwriting is set to be $35,000, by Raab Collection in Philadelphia; this letter has never been available to public or scholars and belongs to anonymous.
According to the president of Raab Collection, Nathan Raab, according to the matter of letter, it is clear, although Thomas Jefferson was serving as president but his mind was also occupied towards his responsibility for the legacy he would be leaving for his grandchildren and his family.
