In USA it is observed that during 201314, fewer bee colonies were lost than the average of previous years but still the population is dying and the level is not sustainable yet.
Tom Vilsack, agricultural secretary, said in the release that, “Healthy pollinator populations are critical to the continued economic well-being of agricultural producers. While we’re glad to see improvement this year, losses are still too high, and there is still much more work to be done to stabilize bee populations.”
BEES
Bees played a crucial role in agriculture by compliment the pollination process and the destroying of bees is alarming for the economy as a whole.
Over the years beekeepers reported a 30 percent loss of total be population during winters and the reason is still not known. The failure of bee populations around the country in recent years has led to warnings of a crisis in foods grown with the help of pollination.
Now this year 2013-14 the rate declines to 23.2 percent, it is a healthy sign but for a sustainable economy still a lot to do for the improvements. The major responsibility is on R&D.
BEES2The destruction is not only in US but honey bees’ population is destroying worldwide due to some unknown strange reason. Whatever we do, we must not let the bees’ population destroy.
