Argyll consists of nine districts with nine councillors, including the warden. There will be two rounds of public consultations, concluding in a final report that will be submitted to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board at the end of 2014.
In these public sessions, public input holds great significance, as described by the province, as a “critical element”. Thus, the municipality has encouraged residents to take full advantage of this opportunity and express their views and opinions about the electoral boundaries.
For the past 25 years, the Municipality of Argyll has had different boundary arrangements. It initially had eight council districts, but in the late 1980s, after the addition of three more districts, the council districts rose to 11.
