Avon philanthropy is the organization which is working against the breast cancer and over the several years it creates awareness among females and also develops R&D to struggle against it. It has donated more than $740 million to breast cancer research and access to care programs in the 20 years since Avon’s Breast Cancer Crusade was launched.
No Avon’s mission is to establish United Kingdom’s first Center of Excellence in secondary breast cancer and to raise funds for the purpose a walk was held yesterday at the Westside Charity Walk, UK.
Around one hundred and ten female participants joined the event. To show their devastating support, contributors of the event even wore tutus and fairy wings. The participants required to circle the park at least four times and the walk was eleven miles one.
This was the ninth successful walk held by the Avon and the walk also includes the lunch at the famous Ickworth Hotel. Sally Balch, one of the organization’s founders, served as their inspiration, having struggled against and lost her life to breast cancer.
The walk is organized by the “Avon Walk” and the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is a national series of 39-mile weekend fundraising events launched in 2003 by the Avon Foundation.
