A study has proved that people who work in different shifts are extremely at risk of being sick from some serious diseases. Diabetes is one of the ailments found mostly in people who are employed in offices at night shift.
The study has revealed the fact that the workers of night shifts have 9 percent higher possibility of developing diabetics as compare to normal office workers. The reason behind this is that night shift increases appetite which surely leads to obesity.
This study is printed in journal Occupational and Environmental Medicine and researchers observed 225,000 people among which 15000 were suffering from diabetics. The most interesting thing is that this theory cannot be applied to both man and woman. Man who works in night shifts have 37 percent more chances of developing this disease whereas, people who works in unusual office timings or rotating timings of 24/7 have 47 percent risk.
In the past, some reports have concluded that jobs, which change the timings of workers on everyday basis, gives birth to several health issues like digestive problems, cancer, insomnia etc. This is the first research in the time of history which verified that a profession can make you a diabetes patient.
Presently, surveyors are trying to offer some significant way of living in order to avoid this disease since it is certainly a difficult task for people to switch their jobs. They have also questioned people whether they will change their jobs if evidences have proved this study correct. Mostly people were not agreed to do this, although they know how much these abnormal work timings are dangerous for their health.
