iPhone 6 “Air” – What would compell me to buy the Next iPhone?

There are just some things that Apple needs to either add or fix that would even make me consider looking at the iPhone 6. The first thing I personally would want to see in the upcoming iPhone is a larger display with an updated resolution. The no.1 reason Android has pulled me back time and time again are the various display sizes.

I am constantly writing, taking notes and snapping photos and even though the iPhone has a good keyboard and camera didn’t jar me that much to stay with iOS. Android always gave me options on those areas so I stuck with them. Hopefully Apple fulfills the screen gap and adds various more sizes or at least 4.7-5 inches to reach a broader audience.

Another thing I would like to see coming to iOS is home screen widgets. Usually people would say if you wanted widgets then stay with android. Then that would usually end the conversation. But I honestly believe that Apple could potentially benefit from adding widgets to there upcoming iOS 8. Yes you could always jailbreak your device but once Apple finds out about the exploit used to make the jailbreak they usually patch it in the upcoming if not runner-up software update. So hopefully it’s implemented in iOS 9 if not 8.

The most dreadful thing that could happen to you in the middle of the workday is a dead battery. Usually you would just plug in the phone to the charger, but what if you don’t have a charger or your out making errands. You can’t always connect your phone to a charger and the external battery cases hat up and are quite bulky. There are fixes to this to elongate your battery life but why go through life hacks just to squeeze a little bit more juice out of your phone. At least a 2,000 mAH battery should treat the iPhone 6 nicely.

Lastly the keyboard. Up above is a Cydia tweak called iSwipe which allows the user to swipe from letter to letter to make a word or fulfill sentences. It’s innovative, fast and quite accurate. I sincerely hope Apple adds this feature to iOS 8. There is nothing more annoying than when you have give a quickly reply to a text or email and you have to play woodpecker with your screen to get the message typed. That’s why Apple should implement this into the software or make something similar to iSwipe to the iPhone’s keyboard. It would relieve some headache’s from Apple’s iOS trend of “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it”.

Those have been the top feature that I would like to see in the iPhone 6 “Air”. The new generation iPhone is expected to be announced at WWDC 2014 in September so we will find out then. But if you can’t wait the iPhone 5S and 5C are still available on Apple’s website.
