Apple has put out a recall for specific iPhone 5 units after realizing a flaw with the batteries. As described in the company’s notice, a few numbers of iPhone units were delivered with faulty batteries. This fault in battery compels the users to charge it more often than the normal ones. Apple will swamp these batteries without a cost.
The company has a sequence number which will help the customers to find out whether their device need a fresh battery or not. The iPhones who have faults in their batteries were sold between September 2012 to January 2013. It is one of the earlier shipment, which happened soon after the release of these iPhones.
Apple puts some condition on this battery replacement procedure. It is that the company would not be able to change the batteries of a damaged phone such as cracked screen, etc. As far as other damages are concerned, Apple stated that it will change the batteries for free if damages are not that difficult to handle.
Customers have to contact their nearest Apple service center of retail stores for the substitution. Customers should back up all the data through iTunes or iCloud and switch off Find my phone.
The replacement program continued till the month of March 2015. The recall has started in some countries like China and U.S previous week.
