On Monday, the staff members of Sony Picture Entertainment saw a strange picture when they turned on their computers and laptops. Later on, they got to know that their office is not the only one. The same thing happened in all the offices of the firm.
The hackers left a message along with the picture of as skull on the entire system of Sony Pictures Entertainment. The hackers who named themselves as GOP left a message which states “we have already warned you, and this is just a beginning. We will continue till our request be met. We have obtained all your internal data including your secrets and top secrets. If you do not obey us, we’ll release the data shown below to the world”. The hackers released the message along with five highly confidential zip files of the company. However, no one is knows what kind of information these files contains.
Additionally, the group also attacked the twitter accounts of the company and released the same message on them. Fortunately, the hackers cannot access the other departments of Sony Corporation.
GOP asked Sony Pictures Entertainment to fulfill their demands otherwise they would release confidential documents on the internet. However, the group has not mentioned its demand yet.
On the other hand, the Sony corporation informed that there officials are currently investigating the IT matter.
